The work

Off-the-shelf housings did not protect the cameras or carry the accessories a chimney inspection needs. We designed two cases that take a drop, mount lights and a pole, and keep the camera centered in the flue.

What we did

• Ruggedized housings for the GoPro Hero Max and Insta360, with reinforced edges and a snag-free surface.
• Accessory mounts: integrated light mounts, whisker mounts to center the camera, and a camera-pole attachment for depth control.
• Field-practical details: light, a secure locking system, easy to handle in the dark.

Outcome

The cases are now standard kit for their inspection team.
